2017 Talent Hunt Competition

It’s time again to watch young talented individuals take the stage! This year, the Talent Hunt competition will be held on Saturday April 1, 2017 at Keenan High School.  The program will be conducted in the Auditorium beginning at 7:00 PM and participants are asked to arrive at 6:00 PM.  Performers are invited to audition and compete for following prizes in the following areas:

First Place Finish            $400
Second Place Finish        $200
Third Place Finish           $100  

                   Music: 
                   Vocal               (printed music sheets must be provided to judges in 3 copies)
                   Instrumental    (printed music sheets must be provided to judges in 3 copies)

Also, all presentations must be solo acts. No hip-hop, rock, Pop, R&B or group acts.

Students may also get applications via e-mail by submitting the request to londifarrow@yahoo.com or call Rodney Webber during work hours at (803) 360-5451.  

All presentations including instrumental numbers must be memorized and must be dignified and in good taste between 5 and 7 minutes. Applicants are required to complete the attached application and sign the media release consent. Contestants are required to wear formal dress for the performance.

Mail completed packets to: Chi Iota Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., ATTN: Talent Hunt Committee Chairman, Post Office Box 1943, Columbia, SC 29202. Applications must be received by March 15, 2017.   

The winner of our talent competition will get an opportunity to showcase their talent in Greensboro, NC, competing against other individuals at Omega Psi Phi Fraternity’s 6th District meeting on Friday, April 28, 2017.
