2014 Essay Contest

The Founders of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. recognized the importance of the intellect in all matters pertaining to the advancement of humankind.  As such, they made Scholarship the foremost of the Fraternity's four Cardinal Principles: Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift.

Scholarship is no side issue - it is an integral and deep-rooted component of this organization. Every member, Chapter, and District of the Fraternity is dedicated to Scholarship.

Chi Iota Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. has been in existence since 1993.  Continuing with the Omega Psi Phi beliefs throughout years, Chi Iota Iota has awarded thousands of dollars to graduating high school seniors who will be pursuing higher education.  With your continued support, we will again be able to award college assistance to local students in need.  Our belief that if we assist young people in their effort to acquire an education, they will use their skills and knowledge to help others.

The Chi Iota Iota Chapter scholarships are available to young men graduating high school in  Richand and Lexington counties.  Interested high school seniors should review the Chi Iota Iota Scholarship Application Eligibility Requirements to determine eligibility.
